DL405 Frequently Asked Questions AutomationDirect Logo

Question

I tried everything to establish communications between my PC and the CPU with no luck. I do have the power LED on and I am powering the processor with 120 VAC. I have confirmed I have the correct communications cable and the latest DirectSOFT32 programming software. What else can I check?

Answer

If you are powering the processor power supply with 120 VAC, make sure you have installed the shorting link on the bottom two terminals for 100-120 VAC operation. Clich here for the Directsoft Troubleshooting manual.
