Question What does the temperature spec of the drive mean? What is the conversion from Celsius to Fahrenheit?
Answer The spec is –10*C to 50*C. When the operating temperature is between 40*C and 50*C the following events must happen. 1.) The carrier frequency must be reduced to 2.1 kHz 2.) The output must be derated to 80% 3.) The top cover of the drive must be removed (this also nullifies the NEMA rating of the drive) The conversion from Celsius to Fahrenheit is: F = 1.8 x C + 32.0
