| Question | Can the same Cutler-Hammer selector switch operator be changed to be a 2 position or 3 position unit? |
| Answer | Yes. If you remove the knob/lever from the body, there is a plastic piece that interfaces between the knob/lever and the body. It usually sticks into either the knob/lever or body when they are separated, so you will have to physically remove this piece. This piece has a wedge-shaped extrusion that fits into one of three wedge-shaped notches in the body. Each of the wedge-shaped notches in the body piece has a number molded in the notch itself, either 2, 3, or 4. Place the raised notch from the plastic piece into the notch labeled 2 for a 2-position selector switch, or 3 for a 3-position selector switch. Our switches don't use the 4-position option. |
