Question How do I get my disconnect switch to close? I rotate the knob on my disconnect switch, but the main contacts do not close.
Answer The disconnect switch has three positions/functions for the actuator as follows:
  • T = Test - Only the auxiliary contact are closed (use for control circuit testing)
  • 0 = Off - Both the auxiliary and main contacts are open
  • 1 = On - Both the auxiliary and main contacts are closed

The site window indicates the positioning of the actuator.
  • From 0 to T is by CCW Rotation of the Actuator
  • From 0 to 1 is by CW Rotation of the Actuator
Note: The force required for CW rotation is somewhat high. It may feel like the lever may break off, but keep turning until the "1" position indicator appears in the site window.
