Question: How can I override inputs and outputs in my DL305?
Answer: The DL305 does not support override.

With the D3-350, you can turn bits on or off with Data View for a single scan to trigger events, but the PLC will update the image register on the next scan. The inputs will reflect their actual state and the outputs will be the result of the rung that controls them. You can control outputs by loading a program that consists of an END statement only. From DEBUG>DATA VIEW>NEW/OPEN you can then select the particular bit and use the on/off button to control the element. You can not control inputs.

With the D3-330 and the D3-340 you can perform the same functions, but since both processors use DirectNet protocol you cannot write individual bits. You must write a register value with the bit pattern you need. For example, to set bit 4 in slot 3, you would write decimal 16 to RIO30.

Question: I forgot my password, what are my options?
Answer: Once you have contacted Tech Support, someone will request that you send in your CPU to his or her attention. Always remember to save your program in your software before sending in. The program inside the CPU will be lost and irretrievable.
