Changes implemented in Release 4.0 of LookoutDirect and DLPlus
What's New in Version 4.0 (Build 25), 6 Sep 2004
Note: Build 25 contains updated device drivers only, there are no changes to
the Lookout components. So, after installing this service pack, your copy of
LookoutDirect will still appear as Build 19 (look in the About box). You can
use the Version utility in DSLaunch to verify that the "DirectSOFT32 -
Communications Server" components have been updated to 4.0.025.
- Includes DSCOMM(4).CBX, DS CommServer, DS ElemServer, and
METER(4).CBX Versions 4.0 Build 25 (4.0.25).
- Install now correctly notifies LookoutDirect when the
USB / Parallel Sentinel Key driver has been installed.
What's New in Version 4.0 (Build 24), 25 May 2004
Note: Build 24 contains updated device drivers only, there are no changes to
the Lookout components. So, after installing this service pack, your copy of
LookoutDirect will still appear as Build 19 (look in the About box). You can

- Comm Server: Fixed 330P problem when using DirectNET to access special
C160-C177 range.
- Sentinel Driver supports the new green Development and the new red Runtime
USB Keys, as well as old Parallel Keys.

- CommServer -- No longer hogs 99% of the PC's CPU on initial startup while
waiting for non-existent IPX protocol and socket! No longer crashes after
User deletes all Comm Links! Hopefully this fixes the last of the CommServer
startup crashes / performance problems when IPX is not installed.

- CommServer -- Fixed 3 problems in the Configure Link - Module Setup - Ethernet
Module Setup dialog:
- Now fills the Devices list automatically.
- Devices list has been widened to accommodate display of the vertical
scroll bar without obstructing view of MAC addresses.
- The Type field no longer displays "M00E00F00X00" for all of
the devices in the list.
- Installation -- Now installs NetEdLib.DLL (Version 2.4.0.1) and HEI32_3.DLL
(Version 1.3.0.154).
- Installation (DSP, DSData, LKD) -- No longer installs CTL3D32.DLL.
- LookoutDirect -- Includes new Lookout Help and LookoutDirect Object Reference
manual (LK4REF.PDF), updated May 2003.
- LookoutDirect -- Now installs newer Version 5.41.1 (dated 17 Dec 2002)
Sentinel drivers recommended by National Instruments. Previous LKD 3.x and
LKD 4.x releases installed Version 0.5.0.34 (c.1997) Sentinel drivers. In
