GS3 Firmware Update
NOTE: GS3 drives shipped before May 26, 2015 have v1.05 or earlier firmware. This firmware could potentially turn the motor in the wrong direction under a specific sequence of events. Please read this Product Advisory for additional information on this situation and on potentially obtaining a firmware upgrade kit.
Drives shipped after June 5th, 2015 have v1.06 installed and are not affected by this situation.
If you have v1.05 firmware or earlier please dowload this zipped file, which contains GS3 v1.06 firmware, a USB-Serial driver, and PDF instructions on how to download the firmware to a GS3 drive.
USB Driver Note
The Silicon Labs USB driver included in the above firmware update is compatible with Windows versions XP/Vista(32/64)/7(32/64)/8,8.1(32/64) only.
