Description: this bulletin presents the new function and modification of the firmware version V4.21

Functional deviations corrected with the firmware version V4.21

Functional deviation: speed setting via HMI blocked by password.
Affected versions: V4.20
Description: the inverter did not allow adjusting the speed via HMI (P002 or P121) when the inverter was protected by password.
Palliative: insert the password at P000 or use the SoftPLC (with user parameter unprotected by password).

Functional deviation: factory setting blocked by password.
Affected versions: V4.20
Description: the inverter did not allow loading factory settings when it was protected by password.
Palliative: load the factory settings via network or WPS.

-Running Time Counter: two new parameters P042 (Running time) and P043 (Running time h/1000) record the time the inverter spent running.
Modifications:
-Factory setting of parameters change: P136, P149
Function Deviations Corrected:
-Serial communication watchdog: the inverter did not show fault F228 with P313 set to 5 after the time set in P314.
-Performance with low input voltage. the inverter did not present a good performance in applications with low input voltage and acceleration and deceleration ramps too fast. Changes in the DC link voltage measurement make the product sturdier in such applications.

Details:
New Functions

• Protocol BACnet: the protocol BACnet is available via P312 (Serial protocol), option 3.
• Firmware update via WPS: from V4.00 on, the CFW100 G2 can have its firmware version updated through WPS
• Forward and reverse run with line start lockout: the two new options of the digital inputs (56 and 57 in parameters P263 to P270) allow using the function forward and reverse run, but require the transition of the digital inputs after reset or de-energization

• Output current measurement (P003): improvement to the output current (P003) calculation with compensation of the hardware gains and offsets. Reason: improve the current measurement.
• IR remote control with CFW100-IOADR: it became possible to change the reference (in P002 or P005) by using the inverter or the remote control keys. If no user application is running (P900 = 3), the infrared control keys operate the same way as the inverter keys.
• Writing and reading multiple registers Modbus: when trying to read or write three or more parameters, the control will allow the access and return success, even if any of the parameters in the sequence does not exist.

• Internal PID application with incoherent scale. (V3.00, V3.01, V3.10 and V3.11): as P002 may have its scale modified by the user, the control setpoint (P911) could display wrong values when the sensor's minimum value was different from zero. The parameter of comparison of the motor speed in Hz changed from P002 to P005 to avoid the deviation.

• It is not possible to update from the version V3.xy to the version V4.00 with WPS;
• The serial number of the first inverter to leave the factory with the firmware version V4.00 is 1053140066.
