Recent Firmware History:

Version: 5.41
Details:
Ethernet Exploit to Retrieve PLC Password
If an attacker has access to the PLC, a specially crafted packet can be sent to the PLC via
Ethernet or Serial ports to access the password. This could allow the attacker to use the password to retrieve
and/or make unauthorized changes to the project or interrupt the process.

Version: V5.40
Details:
Koyo started using a new IC chip that supports the real time clock feature in the memory cartridge D0-01MC. The D0-01MC with date code 126A (June of 2012) or newer has this new IC chip. To use those newer D0-01MC, the DL05 needs to have firmware V5.40 or newer to keep the correct date and time.

The DL05 firmware V5.40 or newer work with both old and new D0-01MC.

Version: V5.30
Details:
[Fixed problems]
- Pulse Output (Mode 30): When the new target position is +/-140 counts from the current target position, the pulse output did not stop.
- PRINT: The PRINT instruction does not work with the D0-DCM Port 2. (The D0-DCM also needs firmware V1.10 or newer to solve this problem.)

Version: V5.20
Details:
[New features]
- The following new modules are supported.
F0-04DAH-1
F0-04DAH-2
F0-08ADH-1
F0-08ADH-2
F0-08DAH-1
F0-08DAH-2

[Fixed problems]
- Change the pointer method setup for analog modules in RUN mode caused the DL05 read wrong analog values. With this new firmware, it is not allowed to change the pointer method in RUN mode.
- When the DL05 was in the Modbus slave mode, it did not return the correct CRC data if the Modbus function code was not supported.
- When the PID control mode was changed from Manual to Auto, the bias and output were reset to zero. This happened when the Bias Freeze box was checked.

Version: V5.10
Details:
[New features]
- This version supports IBox instructions. You also need DirectSOFT version 5 or later to use IBox instructions.

Version: V5.00
Details:
[New features]
- The following new modules are supported.
D0-DCM
F0-CP128

[Fixed problems]
- Run-time editing was allowed even if the PLC mode switch was in the RUN position.
- The error deadband feature for the PID control did not work correctly.

Version: V4.90
Details:
[New features]
- The following new modules are supported.
H0-ECOM100
F0-08SIM

Version: V4.80
Details:
[Fixed problems]
- The override feature was activated after the firmware in the DL05 with the D0-01MC was updated.
- When the firmware was updated, some outputs turned on if interrupts were used.
- User program could not be downloaded correctly through the H0-ECOM.
- Inputs X0-X2 were not recognized in the first scan after power cycle.
- If the PLC mode switch was not in the TERM position, communication did not work.
- The STRPD instruction in the stages did not work correctly.
- The STRPD instruction did not work correctly after run-time editing.

Version: V4.70
Details:
[CAUTION] If you have a memory cartridge D0-01MC in your DL05, please remove it from the DL05 before updating firmware, then return it into the DL05 after the firmware update. This will avoid seeing the override feature is on when you connect DirectSoft to the DL05. If you have updated your DL05 with a D0-01MC, please remove the D0-01MC from the DL05 and initialize the scratchpad, then put the D0-01MC into the DL05 again. We are sorry to ask you to do this extra work.

[New features]
- The following new modules are supported.
F0-04RTD
F0-04TRS
F0-08NA-1
D0-10ND3F

Version: V4.60
Details:
[New features]
- The following new modules are supported.
F0-04THM
F0-04AD-2
H0-ECOM
H0-PSCM
H0-CTRIO

Version: V4.58
Details:
[Fixed problem]
- The STRPD instruction did not work correctly if it was used in a stage with the stage number.
- The TMR instruction did not work correctly in stage.
- When a stage was activated with a SET instruction, outputs turned on in the stage stayed on after the stage went off.
- When a stage is reset with a RST instruction, outputs turned on in the stage stayed on after the stage went off.

Version: V4.501
Details:
Caution!
This firmware V4.501 has a safety problem with stage instructions. If you are using stage instructions in your program, please update your DL05 with firmware V4.58 or later. If your DL05 has firmware V4.24 or earlier, the DL05 does not have the safety problem.

[Fixed problem]
- After a stage jumps to two or more stages at the same time, the outputs in the stage stay on even though the stage is off. (Only V4.50 has this problem.)

Version: V4.50
Details:
Caution!
This firmware V4.50 has a safety problem with stage instructions. If you are using stage instructions in your program, please update your DL05 with firmware V4.58 or later. If your DL05 has firmware V4.24 or earlier, the DL05 does not have the safety problem.

[New features]
- The firmware version is stored in V7727. For instance, if the firmware version is V4.50, V7727 has 4500.

[Fixed problems]
- When user program was reading the counter value of the high speed counter (Mode 20) every second, it jumped up to a much higher number sometimes even though the frequency of the input pulses was stable.
- When Port 2 was used as a DirectNet slave, the master could not read more than 257 bytes correctly.
- The STRPD instruction did not work correctly if the instruction was used with the SET/RST instructions.
- The STRPD and STRND instructions did not work correctly if the D0-01MC was installed.
- The PAUSE instruction did not work correctly.
- The counters used for the DRUM instruction were not retentive.
- PID mode could not be changed in the first scan.
