OptiMate Panels Frequently Asked Questions AutomationDirect Logo

Question

I upgraded my OP-WINEDIT software and now when I open my projects, the project is set up for a different type of panel. What happened?

Answer

If your projects were developed on OP-WINEDIT version 2.0 or earlier, then you may see this problem. The original software was set up to identify your panel by recalling the order it fell in the list of panels. Since we have added new families of part numbers to the product line, the part numbers no longer correspond to the old list.

As of version 2.1, we have corrected this and the actual model number is used to identify the panel. If your projects were created on version 2.0 or earlier and you upgrade your OP-WINEDIT software, you should upload the project from the panel into the new version of OP-WINEDIT. This will correctly convert your version 2.0 or earlier project to a version 2.1 or newer. Once the project is converted to a version 2.1 or newer, this problem should not appear again.
