Question

Can I set the CTT series Timer/Counter/Tach to Flicker Mode?

Answer

Yes, this is called "Repeat Cycle 2" in the CTT Manual starting on page 3-20

To use Repeat Cycle
  • select [mode] longer than 3 sec
  • pick time using the up/down keys
  • select t mode
  • pick up or down counting/timing using the up/down keys
  • select t otmd
  • pick rCY2 using the up/down keys
  • select t Unit
  • pick your time base using the up/down keys
  • select rtSr
  • pick 1 or 20 ms reset using the up/down keys
  • select tnPtLC
  • pick PnP or nPn using the up/down keys
  • press [mode] for longer than 3 sec to go to run mode.


[mode] selects the SET1 or SET2 on and off times.

RST2/Start input will start Flicker mode

[RESET] or RST1 input stops the flicker mode Note! Set1 time must be longer than Set2 time.

Note: If you jumper the start input to +12 VDC (configured for PnP) or 0V (configured for nPn) it will start the cycle on power up after the CTT stabilizes.
