Question

I cannot connect to a C-more for programming, my ping times are very long or I cannot ping (VPN etc). Can you change the timeouts?

Answer

For EA7 (all) and EA9 (prior to V6.0)

    You will have to edit EA_.INI with Windows Notepad. It is located in the directory you installed the C-More software

    Once you open the file, go to the [App] section of the file and add this at the bottom:
      PING=1
      PINGTIMEOUT=xxxx
      PanelTimeout=xxxx

    PING -> 1 = enables. 0 = disables
    PINGTIMEOUT= is in milliSeconds
    PanelTimeout= is in Seconds

    You need to re-start the software anytime you change the values above.

For EA9 (V6.0 and newer versions)

In the "Ethernet Connection Setup", click on the "Remote Link List" and add a connection. In the connection dialog, it will allow you to specify longer timeouts and retry settings
