| Question | Is there a way to update the time and date on the touch screen to match the CPU clock of the PLC every time I power cycle the touch screen? I understand that the touch screen does not have a battery backed up clock. |
| Answer | Yes, this can easily be accomplished by placing an (External Clock part and an External Calendar part) - preferably ones with digital type displays. On the Global screen and under Access choose Closed and Selectable. Once this is done all the parts in the touch screen that pertain to date and time will now contain a time that matches the CPU clock (ie. warning displays that display a date and time). |
